Bertrand, originally from Sainte Foy, is a ski instructor with a 10-year experience within the ESF of Tignes Val Claret. Pushed by his need to share his knowledge, Bertrand will be an excellent teacher.
Skiing is a family affair for Bertrand. Indeed, he started skiing at the age of 3 with his parents and his sister. What he likes more in the ski practice is the possibility to escape reality on the off-piste sectors with his friends.
To teach you how to ski, Bertrand based his pedagogy on patience for an optimal progression. After 4 seasons in another resort, he wanted to see new horizons. He thus chose the resort of Tignes Val Claret mainly for its long seasons and its significant snow cover. What he loves with the ESF are the many medals they give children and the change of scenery it provides to parents.
A competitor at heart, Bertrand realised Freeride competitions in Europe and in New-Zealand as well as ski and telemark derbies. Lastly, outside the seasons, he works as a plumber/heating specialist.
His best teaching memory is his students’ discovery of skiing on snow powder. His favourite slopes are the Col/Refuge du Palet and the Forêt des Boisses. Bertrand had the privilege of skiing in Japan, Iceland, Norway and Russia.
