When he was a child, Louis had the chance of living next to an artificial ski slope, this allowed him to create the basis of his practice. It is at only 19 years old that he discovered real snow. 

Louis’ story is quite uncommon. Indeed, before working as an instructor, he used to work in the bar under the ESF. Every day, he would serve coffee to the instructors and see happy faces. One day, one of the instructors suggested he came to work for the ESF, this was a dream come true for him after training so hard to reach a high level. Louis’ approach to teaching depends on the student, it is essential to be versatile to face different physiques and psychologies. 

If he chose to teach in Tignes, it is thanks to his father who introduced him to the resort. Later, with a group of friends, they spent a season teaching in Tignes and the rest is history! 

In his opinion, the ESF system works pretty well. The teaching process is evolving which lets people increase in level each year. 

When he is not on the slopes, Louis works as a plumber for a swimming pool company in the UK. This situation allows him to go back to his native country, see his family and enjoy summer sports such as tennis and surfing. 

Louis doesn’t have any favourite teaching memory but he thinks it is rewarding to see his clients enjoying themselves and see the smile on their faces.
