Coming from Aix en Provence, Philippe has been sharing his passion for skiing for 30 years. The job of ski instructor allows him to fulfil his desire to share as well as make a living from his passion.
Philippe first put on skis when he was 8 years old. If his first year of practice was a disaster, it is during the second year that this winter sport became indispensable. Despite a rocky start, his love for the snow, the mountain and the beauty of the landscapes convinced him not to give up.
Philippe based his pedagogical approach on technique at the service of pleasure. Quite unusual, it is the resort’s former advertising slogan ‘Tignes, ski 365 days a year’ that acted as a revealing element, making him want to be part of the resort’s team. Throughout the years, Philippe skied and taught in various resorts, his experiences confirmed the fact that he was right in choosing Tignes Val Claret. For him, the ESF is a token of technical nature and the unparalleled professionalism of the instructors.
Outside of the slopes, Philippe manages a go-karting circuit. This is linked to the fact that he enjoys motorsports in all their forms.
His best teaching memory was during an off-piste discovery lesson when his students had the pleasure to discover that off-piste skiing is not only for experienced skiers. His favourite slope is the Vallons de la Sache.
